US President Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday that he had completed a cognitive examination at Walter Reed military hospital and answered every question correctly.

Trump said he requested the cognitive test as "the only president who has done this" and claimed to have taken it three times, passing each one. "I have just completed a perfect examination at Walter Reed, I do this every six months," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday. In a follow-up post, he added: "I asked for another cognitive test, the only president to have done it, three times, and I have passed them all with flying colors — every question answered correctly."

The White House confirmed that Trump was referring to an examination at the Walter Reed military hospital, with results released on 26 June. According to the White House, the president was also found to be in "excellent health" during the same visit. The cognitive test is part of a routine physical assessment that has become a focal point of public debate about the fitness of older US presidents.
