Tulsi Gabbard, the U.S. intelligence coordinator, will resign on June 30 to focus on her husband's health after he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.

In a letter released Friday, Gabbard stated she needed to withdraw from public service to fully support her husband in his health battle. 'I must withdraw from public service to be by his side and support him fully in this fight,' she wrote.

Gabbard, who took office at the start of Trump's second term in early 2025, has been coordinating the work of 18 federal intelligence agencies. Her role included advising the president on intelligence matters.
