The European Football Union (UEFA) has introduced a new format for the Nations League and Euro qualifiers, set to take effect after the 2028 European Championship.

The Nations League will be streamlined from four to three leagues, each containing 18 teams divided into three groups of six. Teams will play six matches: four against teams from different pots and two against a team from their own pot.

The Euro qualifiers will also see significant changes, with teams divided into two leagues. League 1 will consist of the 36 teams from Nations League Leagues A and B, while League 2 will include the remaining Nations League teams.

League 1 of the Euro qualifiers will feature three groups of twelve teams each, where direct qualification spots will be awarded. The remaining places will be determined through a playoff system designed to ensure fair opportunities for all teams.
