The UN investigation commission warns of a massive increase in deadly violence by radical Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank, which according to its findings has more than doubled since 2024.

According to UN figures, more than 700,000 Israeli settlers currently live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem among roughly three million Palestinians. Against this backdrop, the UN investigation commission documents a wave of violence that has been growing for years and intensified significantly following the Hamas massacre in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, and the Gaza war it triggered.

For the years 2024 and 2025, the commission identified a total of 249 cases of executions and severe physical violence, resulting in at least 108 deaths and 384 injuries. For last year 2025 alone, the report lists at least seven Palestinians killed and 832 injured by settlers.
