Brussels, 28 May 2026

The European Union on Thursday imposed sanctions on four organizations and three individuals connected to Israeli settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

The decision, announced by the representation of EU member states in Brussels, targets entities and individuals accused of serious human rights violations. The sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans prohibiting entry into EU territory.

The move follows a sharp increase in violence by radical Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property since October 2023 and the subsequent war in Gaza. Israeli media have increasingly referred to the phenomenon as "Jewish terror."
