A Palestinian US citizen from the village of Kusra in the West Bank, whose home is being besieged by extremist Jewish settlers according to his own account, has asked the US government for protection and said he fears returning to his village.

The US Palestinian Luai Abu Ridi told AFP that his house in the village of Kusra in the northern West Bank had been surrounded by extremist Jewish settlers for days. He said he had been forced to leave his home and had departed via Ben Gurion Airport. Returning to his hometown was currently unthinkable for him, as he feared further attacks by the settlers.
