Valve has opened pre-orders for the Steam Machine in Europe, with prices ranging from 1,040 euros to 1,430 euros depending on the storage variant, and allocation handled through a lottery system.

The Steam Machine targets buyers looking for a compact living-room PC running SteamOS. Valve offers two variants: the 512 GB storage version without a Steam Controller costs 1,040 euros, while the 2 TB storage model with an included Steam Controller costs up to 1,430 euros. According to Valve, shipping of the first devices begins on 29 June.

Inside, a semi-custom AMD platform powers the device, featuring a Zen 4 CPU with six cores and twelve threads. This is paired with 16 GB of RAM, an RDNA 3 graphics unit with 28 Compute Units and an additional 8 GB of VRAM, as well as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, DisplayPort, and an integrated power supply. Using FSR upscaling, Valve promises 4K gaming at 60 frames per second, and the manufacturer claims performance roughly six times higher than the Steam Deck.
