Vienna Ring closed: U-Bahn recommended for event

The closure is an organizational traffic measure for the sports demonstration. The available information does not indicate exactly which road sections will be closed on which days or whether there will be additional detours.

For the affected routes, the closure will likely mean fewer direct access routes and changed driving routes. The delays mentioned by the ÖAMTC may affect the chosen route and the respective traffic conditions.

Travel tips

Anyone who must travel by car should avoid the designated areas and plan their journey flexibly. Park-and-ride facilities are mentioned as a possible alternative; however, the available information does not name specific facilities or distances.

According to the information provided, an ATV livestream may offer additional information about the event. Such a broadcast is relevant for current updates on closures, detours, and further traffic developments.

The main traffic recommendation is therefore to use the U-Bahn and plan journeys around the Vienna Ring well in advance. Anyone who depends on a car should allow for delays and check alternative routes.
