The Vienna Vikings won 45:7 against Berlin Thunder in the Austrian Football League Europe (AFLE) on Sunday and remain the only undefeated team in the league.

The Vienna Vikings celebrated a clear away victory in the AFLE on Sunday. Playing away at Berlin Thunder, the team of head coach Chris Calaycay prevailed 45:7 (35:7). By halftime, the Viennese had already set the course for the win.

It was the sixth success in the sixth game of the season, as the statistics show. As the only one of the eight AFLE teams, the Viennese are still undefeated. This brings them closer to a place in the semifinals, and the Vienna Vikings can slowly get their playoff planning in the AFLE rolling.

On offense, it was above all the Viennese passing game that delivered a strong performance. Quarterback Ben Holmes completed 72.41 percent of his passes and threw for a total of 259 yards. Together with backup quarterback Nico Hrouda, who was substituted in during the fourth quarter, the duo connected with a total of nine different receivers.
