The British telecom group Vodafone increased both revenue and profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2026/27 and raised its full-year guidance to the upper end of the previous range.

As the company announced on Monday, group revenue in the reporting period, which ended in June, climbed by almost ten percent compared to the prior-year quarter to 10.3 billion euros. Service revenues also rose by nearly ten percent to 8.63 billion euros. On an organic basis – that is, excluding currency and M&A effects – service revenue grew by 5.2 percent.

Group CEO Margherita Della Valle expressed satisfaction at the start of the fiscal year: "Wir sind gut in das Geschäftsjahr gestartet". She expected full-year results at the upper end of the targeted range, the CEO explained. Adjusted operating profit before depreciation, amortization and leasing (EBITDAaL) rose organically by 6.2 percent to 2.9 billion euros; nominally, the increase was 6.7 percent.
