Wiesbaden, 10 June 2026

Instead of high-summer temperatures, the first June weekend in Hessen brings dense clouds, shower-like rain and isolated thunderstorms, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).

According to the DWD, Saturday will start changeable: during the course of the day, individual showers will move in, and later shower-like rain will set in from the southwest across some areas. "Im Laufe des Samstags ziehen laut Deutschem Wetterdienst (DWD) einzelne Schauer auf", the forecast states.

In the northeast and east, isolated thunderstorms with strong gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour are possible from the afternoon onwards. Maximum temperatures will reach at most 19 to 24 degrees, around 17 degrees in higher elevations. This puts the thermometer well below the values last recorded in the region in May.
