AfD leader Alice Weidel used an appearance in Vienna to advocate closer cooperation with the FPÖ and promised far-reaching political changes in the event of a victory for Austria's Freedom Party.
The chairwoman of the Alternative for Germany, Alice Weidel, delivered programmatic speeches in Vienna on Sunday, explicitly placing cooperation with the FPÖ at the center. Addressing an Austrian audience, she campaigned for a close alliance between the two parties and outlined its thrust. The FPÖ, whose abbreviation stands for Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs, is according to the polling data available so far one of the strongest political forces in the country.
