Bernd Wiesberger moved into a share of the lead at the BMW International Open in Munich on Saturday, firing a five-under-par 67 to join South Africa's Michael Hollick at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round.

The Austrian followed two opening rounds of 68 with a sparkling 67 at Golfclub München Eichenried, posting six birdies against a single bogey on the par-72 layout. At 13 under par for the week, Wiesberger shares the 54-hole lead with Hollick and will play in the final group on Sunday in pursuit of the tournament title.

A victory would be worth a winner's cheque of US$510,000 from the US$3 million prize purse, along with a substantial haul of points on the DP World Tour's season-long Race to Dubai standings. Wiesberger, a multiple winner on the European tour, has long pointed to events like the BMW International Open as priority stops on his summer schedule, and he now sits one stroke clear of the field with 18 holes to play.
