Toto Wolff confirmed ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix that Kimi Antonelli and George Russell will form the team's driver pairing once again in the 2027 Formula 1 season, while at the same time describing a future signing of Max Verstappen as an attractive long-term scenario.

Confirmation for 2027

Wolff spoke on the sidelines of the build-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix, which takes place on Sunday at 15:00 (Sky), in an interview with Sky Sport F1. Wolff reiterated that Mercedes will go into next season with the current driver pairing of Italian championship leader Antonelli and British driver Russell. According to Wolff, an official confirmation from the team was still pending, but the decision was already foreseeable.
