The two-part documentary "Becoming Taylor Swift" by director Guy King will be available on the ZDF streaming portal from Monday, 8 June; ZDF will air the first episode "Fame and Rivals" in the night to 12 June at 00:45.

Two episodes, two chapters

The documentary "Becoming Taylor Swift" traces the career of the US pop singer Taylor Swift in two episodes, each 45 minutes long. Director Guy King, who produced the film for the British broadcaster Channel 4, begins the first part "Fame and Rivals," according to ZDF, with Swift's beginnings in the country scene of Nashville, Tennessee. Fascinating insights into these early years of Swift's career are provided by, among others, her former manager Rick Barker as well as journalist Vanessa Grigoriadis, who interviewed Swift at length in 2009. Archive material and previously unreleased audio recordings, as well as comments from companions and fans, are also used, as stated in a press release from the broadcaster.
