Hamburg's Alexander Zverev has surprisingly been eliminated in his opening match at the ATP Masters tournament in Montreal, losing to the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor in three sets.
The Masters in Canada is considered a key hard-court test for Zverev ahead of the US Open in New York, which begin at the end of August.
