A 16-year-old from the district of Kirchdorf, who is serving a multi-year prison sentence at the Innsbruck correctional facility, absconded during a supervised leave and allegedly committed 19 offences in Upper and Lower Austria while on the run before police stopped him.
The teenager is already serving a multi-year prison sentence at the Innsbruck correctional facility. According to police, he used an approved leave to remove himself from custody. Instead of returning to the correctional facility, he reportedly stayed in the country for several days.
Escape during supervised leave
During the manhunt, police managed to stop the 16-year-old. According to initial investigations, he allegedly committed a total of 19 offences in several districts of Upper and Lower Austria.
