A 37-year-old prisoner from the Tennengau district, who had failed to return to Salzburg Prison from an approved day release on April 16, is alleged to have committed 19 crimes by the time of his arrest on June 11.
Escape from Day Release
According to the current state of the investigation, the accused failed to return to the prison on April 16 after an approved day release. As investigators stated, he subsequently remained outside the detention facility without authorization for several weeks. Salzburg Prison was informed after his absence, and search measures were initiated in parallel.
During intensive investigations, a 37-year-old man from the Tennengau district could be linked to multiple crimes. On June 11, the operational forces succeeded in arresting him in the Salzburg city area. He was then returned to Salzburg Prison, where he continues to serve his sentence.
