An 18-year-old German racing cyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Monday afternoon on Brandenberger Straße (L4) in Kramsach in the Kufstein district of Tyrol.

According to the police, the young man was traveling on Brandenberger Straße (L4) in the municipal area of Kramsach in the afternoon when he lost control of his racing bicycle for reasons that have yet to be clarified and crashed into a rock face. Despite immediately initiated rescue measures, only the death of the 18-year-old could be confirmed, as the Tyrol State Police Directorate announced.

According to police information, the deceased came from Aachen in North Rhine-Westphalia and was therefore a German national. Regarding the surrounding circumstances – whether he was traveling alone, whether a group of cyclists was nearby, and what protective clothing he was wearing – no further details were initially provided.
