A 60-year-old motorcyclist from the Kufstein district succumbed to his injuries on July 15 following a serious accident on the Katschberg road (B 99) in Hüttau, Salzburg province.

A 60-year-old motorcyclist from Tyrol succumbed to his serious injuries following an accident on the Katschberg road in Salzburg. According to police reports, the tragedy occurred on July 15, shortly after 1:00 p.m., on the Katschberg road (B 99) in Hüttau (Salzburg).
For reasons unknown, the man rode his motorcycle off the edge of the road in a left-hand curve and onto an embankment. He then collided with a rock face, sustaining the most severe injuries.
Subsequent witnesses to the accident alerted the emergency services and provided initial first aid. The rider was airlifted by helicopter to the Schwarzach hospital, where he died shortly afterward.
