A 56-year-old man from Spittal an der Drau drove past an unmarked patrol on the Tauern Autobahn A10 near Altenmarkt at nearly 190 km/h, nearly doubling the permitted maximum speed of 100 km/h.

The officers revoked the 56-year-old's driver's license on the spot.

After accounting for the measurement tolerance, the Carinthian had been traveling at nearly 190 km/h, according to the data.

Background

In doing so, the 56-year-old not only pushed the speedometer to the limit, but also got the police into action.

Only 100 km/h were permitted on this section of the A10.

The incident occurred on the Tauern Autobahn after the Tauern Tunnel, in the Altenmarkt area.
