The consequences for the two individuals are identical regardless of age: both must expect a revocation of their driving license and will face proceedings. In the case of the 17-year-old, the aggravating factor is that, as a probationary license holder, he was subject to special conditions, the violation of which can result in immediate revocation.

Police announced that checks on the B 169 and throughout the district of Schwaz would continue in the coming days. Speeders in Austria face severe penalties, including heavy fines, a multi-month driving ban, and in particularly serious cases, court conviction.
