The AfD Saxony-Anhalt has presented a 100-day program with ten central points at a state party conference in Magdeburg for the event of taking over government following the state election on September 6.
Program with ten points
The state association of the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt presented the program on Saturday in Magdeburg. It is to take effect immediately after the state election on September 6, should the party enter government responsibility. In current polls, the AfD with its lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund is clearly ahead of the CDU.
State party chief Martin Reichardt used the party conference for a sharp attack on the incumbent Minister-President Sven Schulze of the CDU. Reichardt accused Schulze of deceiving the public about a possible cooperation with The Left. He said: „Denn ohne die Linken hat Herr Schulze überhaupt keine Chance auf irgendwelche Mehrheiten." Reichardt described Schulze as a representative of a „pseudokonservative Regierung, die an den Fäden der Linksextremisten zappelt".
Attack on Minister-President Schulze
Reichardt formulated the goal of the AfD even further: „Unsere historische Aufgabe ist es, diese Mehrheit aus Deutschlandhassern und machtgierigen Unionsspießern zu verhindern." The CDU behaves as if it were still a people's party, but has long since become an alliance partner of The Left. A minority government led by the CDU that selectively cooperates with The Left is considered a possible alternative after the election.
