Eight German defense companies presented a joint strategy paper on Wednesday at the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in Berlin to advance the development of a new jet following the end of the German-French FCAS fighter jet project.

The alliance is called "Team Gen 6" and, according to the participants, comprises the defense division of Airbus, MTU, Hensoldt, MBDA, Autoflug, Diehl Defence, Liebherr, and Rohde & Schwarz. In a press release, the companies declared their willingness to engage in multinational cooperation while also asserting the German industry's claim to a leading role.
