Marko Arnautovic has ended his career in the ÖFB jersey following the exit in the World Cup Round of 16 against Spain and has now moved to Red Star Belgrade, where he completed his first training session on the 18th.

"Wearing the Austrian jersey was the greatest honor of my career." That is how the veteran summed up his time as a national team player after his final appearance in the national kit. The 0:3 loss against European champions Spain in the Round of 16 marked not just the end of a tournament, but an entire chapter in Austrian football.

After 137 caps and 49 goals – both record marks for the ÖFB – the striker left the pitch the way he had shaped it over the years: as a cornerstone of the attack. "Every time I stepped onto the pitch, I gave everything – for my teammates, for the fans, and for everyone who supported us back home," the ÖFB legend reflected. The final whistle against Spain marked an emotional moment for many of those involved.
