Ahead of the expected summit meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese head of state Xi Jinping, representatives of both governments have discussed possible collaboration in the area of artificial intelligence.
The talks between Washington and Beijing come amid a phase of intense economic and technological rivalry. According to US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, who led the talks on the Chinese side with Vice Premier He Lifeng, the consultations were constructive. The range of topics spanned from trade issues to cooperation on future technologies.
