Computer scientist Monika Henzinger has been honored by the British scientific association Royal Society with the Milner Award, as announced on Thursday.

The award recognizes European computer scientists who have made a significant contribution to their field and can be expected to deliver further outstanding work in the future. Henzinger has worked in algorithm research for years and is an internationally recognized expert.

The Milner Award is named after British computer scientist Robin Milner, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of theoretical computer science and formal methods in software development. With the award, Henzinger joins a list of distinguished European researchers whose work has had a lasting influence on the development of computer science.
