A US appeals court has temporarily allowed the continuation of construction on the ballroom planned by Donald Trump at the East Wing of the White House, after an earlier court ruling had prohibited the start of construction without express authorization from the US Parliament.
Background of the Construction Project
With its decision, the appeals court provisionally lifted an earlier injunction, enabling the US government to continue the extensive renovation work on the East Wing of the White House. Previously, a court had ruled that construction on this scale was not permissible without explicit approval from Congress. The appeals court has now suspended this restriction until the case on the merits is decided.
