Red Star Belgrade overcame the second round of Champions League qualifying on Wednesday evening with a 5:0 win against Larne, with Marko Arnautovic contributing two goals to the comfortable progression.

Arnautovic as key player

The Austrian forward Marko Arnautovic was the outstanding man in Red Star Belgrade's emphatic success. In the second leg against the Northern Irish side Larne, the 36-year-old scored twice and underlined his experience on the international stage. The team from the Serbian capital dominated the match from the start and gave the visitors from Northern Ireland little opportunity.

In addition to Arnautovic, Muhammed Cham and other players found their names on the scoresheet. The outcome was already decided by halftime, after Red Star Belgrade had created clear conditions early on. Coach Vladan Milojević was able to summarize an overall focused performance from his team after the final whistle, leaving no doubt about the progression to the next round.
