A 35-year-old man attacked a female employee and set fire to her office at a branch office of the Elbe-Elster district administration in Finsterwalde, Brandenburg, on Thursday morning. Four people were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
Police confirmed the incident in response to inquiries from the Potsdamer Neuesten Nachrichten (PNN). RBB had previously reported on it. According to police, four people were taken to hospital. „Im Süden Brandenburgs hat ein Mann in einem Büro der Ortsstelle des Landratsamts Finsterwalde ein Feuer gelegt“, the investigators said.
The attack occurred on Thursday morning at the branch office of the county administration in Finsterwalde in the district of Elbe-Elster. According to current findings, the man entered the office of a female employee, threatened the woman, and subsequently set fire to it. „Die Mitarbeiterin habe sich in Sicherheit bringen können“, police said. A 35-year-old victim of the attack received medical treatment.
