The Vienna Stock Exchange reached a new record closing level with the ATX on Monday, supported by a strong price rally in AT&S shares following the announcement of extensive capacity expansions in the area of IC substrates for AI and HPC applications.

The ATX ended the trading day up 2.59 percent at 6,420.63 points, reaching a new record closing value. The broader ATX Prime rose 2.49 percent to 3,162.58 points. The Vienna benchmark index thus continued its upward trend of recent weeks and surpassed its previous all-time high.

The biggest winner was initially the share of the Styrian circuit board manufacturer AT&S. The stock shot up around 36 percent on Monday after the company announced extensive capacity expansion over the weekend for high-end IC substrates for applications in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Deutsche Bank Research confirmed its buy recommendation for AT&S and raised the price target significantly from 120 to 310 euros.
