The 20 companies listed on the Vienna stock index ATX increased their profits in 2025 by a total of 6 percent compared to the previous year, to 12.3 billion euros, while the average payout ratio fell to 44.5 percent according to calculations by the Chamber of Labour (AK).

Profits rise, payout ratio falls

The 20 companies listed on the Vienna stock index ATX increased their profits in 2025 by a total of 6 percent compared to the year before, to 12.3 billion euros. The results of Austria's stock-market heavyweights thus rose once again, according to a survey published on Friday by the Chamber of Labour.

Companies in the financial and energy sectors continued to generate good earnings and therefore still pay high dividends to their shareholders, according to the survey. The highest payouts went to OMV, Verbund, RBI, BAWAG and Strabag, the AK reported on Friday.
