Felix Oschmautz, Mario Leitner and junior world champion Max Steinbrenner won the bronze medal in the team event at the Kayak World Championship on the grounds of the 2028 Olympic competitions. The ÖKV trio remained error-free and beat Poland by 0.15 seconds on the way to the podium.

Felix Oschmautz, Mario Leitner and junior world champion Max Steinbrenner won the bronze medal in the team event at the Kayak World Championship on the grounds of the future 2028 Olympic competitions on Tuesday, posting an error-free run in 90.78 seconds.

The red-white-red trio prevailed in a field of 18 nations and edged out the fourth-placed team from Poland, which was burdened with four penalty seconds, by 0.15 seconds. Only Slovenia in 89.60 seconds and Switzerland in 89.71 seconds were faster than the Austrians. The ÖKV team thus returned with a medal from a competition that also served as an important test run for the Olympic future.
