The Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) has sharply criticized the political resistance to the end of penalty-free early retirement and warned of the collapse of the entire pension reform package.
The Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) has pushed back against efforts to reverse the end of penalty-free early retirement as agreed in the pension package. On Tuesday in Berlin, Chief Executive Steffen Kampeter said he was "fassungslos" that central elements of the pension package were being questioned before they had even been implemented. "Dass zentrale Elemente des Rentenpakets schon wieder infrage gestellt werden, bevor sie überhaupt umgesetzt sind, macht mich fassungslos," Kampeter said, according to a statement.
