The Austrian dairy cooperative Berglandmilch is investing 25 million euros in the expansion of its Aschbach location in Lower Austria in order to significantly extend its production of topfen and fresh cheese.
Production Capacities Significantly Expanded
As the company announced on Wednesday, the money will flow into the expansion of topfen and fresh cheese production in Aschbach, Lower Austria. Managing Director Josef Braunshofer explained: "Wir investieren in das Thema Topfen und Frischkäse 25 Millionen Euro am Standort". With this, the company is responding to increased demand for protein-rich products. "Wir sehen, dass Topfen und Frischkäse stark wachsende Segmente sind. Vor allem bei jungen Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten gewinnen diese Produkte kontinuierlich an Bedeutung. Deshalb investieren wir gezielt in diesen Bereich und entwickeln unser Sortiment laufend weiter", Braunshofer continued.
