Berlin, 29 May 2026
The Berlin House of Representatives inquiry committee on controversial antisemitism prevention grants began questioning former independent culture senator Sarah Wedl-Wilson on Thursday morning.
Wedl-Wilson is considered a key figure in the affair and was scheduled to appear at 10:00 a.m. local time. Her testimony is expected to shed light on the decision-making process behind the allocation of millions in public funds.
The committee was established in December 2025 at the request of the Green and Left parties. It is examining the circumstances under which 13 projects received a total of 2.6 million euros in state support.
