Berlin, June 02, 2026

On June 2, 2026, the Berlin Office for the Protection of the Constitution presented its annual report for 2025, which indicates that the number of individuals posing a threat to the constitution has grown in all extremist areas, and young people are increasingly being targeted by radical actors.

Right-Wing Extremism and New Youth Scenes

In the realm of right-wing extremism, the number of individuals recorded by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Berlin rose to 1,480 in 2025, up from 1,450 the previous year. According to the office's assessment, the right-wing extremist scene was noticeably more aggressive last year. The Office for the Protection of the Constitution attributes this primarily to the activities of a newly described youth scene that has significantly shaped the perception of right-wing extremism in Berlin.
