Following the Islamist-motivated attack on Berlin's Christopher Street Day (CSD) over the weekend, the Federal Prosecutor's Office has confirmed a confession video by the killed 21-year-old suspect Abdul B.; meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) announced a security package for dealing with so-called dangerous persons ("Gefährder").

In the attack on the edge of the major event in the Tiergarten, a 65-year-old woman from Poland was killed on Saturday evening. Berlin's Governing Mayor Kai Wegner has since spoken of 31 injured, several of them seriously. The CSD was canceled after the attack.
