An explosion occurred during a ground test of the New Glenn rocket from the space company Blue Origin in the early hours of May 29, 2026, at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, which, according to industry sources, has virtually destroyed the company's launch pad.
The rocket was fully fueled at the time of the explosion, according to available information. The company stated that no one was injured.
