Brussels, November 3, 2026
A competition at the Deutsches Architekturmuseum in Frankfurt honored a high-rise in Brussels on November 3, 2026, as a particularly innovative project.
The project was honored primarily for its interior qualities. Jury member Peter Cachola Schmal stated: „Es sind die innere Werte, die dieses Projekt so unglaublich anders machen“. The jury thus highlighted not only the building’s exterior form, but also the design and impact of its interior spaces.
The jury’s rationale
The competition focused on innovative high-rises from several parts of the world. The featured projects include the 124-meter-high residential tower “Age 360” in Curitiba, Brazil; the 207-meter-high office tower “Tencent Tower” in Guangzhou, China; and the 180-meter-high “88 Walker” building, featuring a hotel and commercial space, in Sydney, Australia.
