Nearly three weeks after a brutal beating attack on a 43-year-old on the night of 25 June 2026 in St. Pölten, the Lower Austria State Directorate of Police is searching for the previously unknown perpetrator using a photographic image and is asking the public for assistance.
According to information provided by the Lower Austria State Directorate of Police, the crime occurred on 25 June 2026 at around 12:30 a.m. in the area of St. Pölten's main train station. Initially, a verbal altercation took place between the later victim and an unknown man. The 43-year-old then left the location.
Afterwards, the unknown man followed the 43-year-old and attacked him shortly thereafter in Schreinergasse. According to the investigations conducted so far, a previously unknown perpetrator is under urgent suspicion of having struck a 43-year-old man multiple times in the face on 25 June 2026 at around 12:30 a.m. „Der Tat soll ein Streitgespräch im Bereich des Hauptbahnhofes St. Pölten vorangegangen sein“, the Lower Austria State Directorate of Police announced.
