Cable fire at Praterstern brings S-Bahn service to a standstill

In addition to the construction-related closure between Floridsdorf and Praterstern, trains are now also no longer running between Praterstern and Quartier Belvedere. As a result, the central east-west axis of the Vienna S-Bahn is interrupted in both directions. Connections via Vienna Hauptbahnhof and the route towards Vienna Airport are also affected by the diversions and partial cancellations.

According to ÖBB, travelers with tickets for the affected sections can use them for alternative routes.
