In Carinthia's Thörl-Maglern on the Italian state border, the provisional border management with the erected tents will soon be dismantled because the number of asylum applications in Carinthia has fallen to around 90 since the beginning of the year.

According to Governor Daniel Fellner (SPÖ), the provisional infrastructure had been necessary in a phase when many refugees came across the border into Carinthia. Fellner said the tents and the provisional infrastructure had been necessary in times when many refugees came across the border into Carinthia: "Die Situation hat sich Schritt für Schritt entspannt."

The dismantling resulted from a discussion between Fellner, Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP), and Deputy Governor Martin Gruber (ÖVP). Fellner welcomed the measure that resulted from this discussion.
