FC Arsenal lineup

Arsenal’s defensive line consisted of Timber, Konsa, Gabriel Magalhaes and Calafiori. Declan Rice and Bruno Guimaraes formed the central midfield pair, with Havertz as the striker and Saka, Ødegaard and Madueke expected to provide attacking creativity behind him. Incoming players Gyökeres, Merino and Lewis-Skelly were already viewed as important options for the later stages of the match.

On the FC Bayern side, Minjae Kim was replaced by Tah in the 46th minute, suggesting an injury-related interruption or a tactical correction for the second half. With substitutions including Karl and Luis Díaz in the 68th minute, Sapoko Ndiaye in the 90th minute for Saibari, and Brown in the 85th minute for Davies, the Munich coaching staff made both attacking and defensive adjustments.

Substitutions during the match

FC Arsenal followed the early change from Saka to Eze with a series of further personnel changes: Bruno Guimaraes left the pitch in the 68th minute for Lewis-Skelly, Havertz was replaced by Gyökeres in the same minute, and Merino came on for Ødegaard in the 85th minute. These substitutions allow conclusions to be drawn about workload management and adjustments to the match situation.

According to club information, the stadium will be sold out, with numerous international media outlets covering the match. The Champions League group stage is in full swing, and both clubs are among the favorites to win the group. The available facts do not provide a basis for predicting the result.

Michael Olise ruled out

Michael Olise’s absence through suspension immediately affects Bayern’s attacking width. His absence gave players such as Saibari and Gnabry greater responsibility in the half-space positions. Coach Vincent Kompany therefore had to adjust his starting lineup without his key winger.

Alongside the sporting comparison, economic factors are also in focus: television rights revenue, bonuses for winning the group and worldwide marketing make such encounters among the most financially valuable matches in European club football. For the Munich metropolitan area, the match brings increased security and logistical measures.
