Kai Havertz scored a historic early goal for Arsenal in the Champions League final in Budapest on Saturday, but Paris Saint-Germain rallied to win 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.

Havertz struck in the 6th minute in front of 61,035 spectators, giving the English side a dream start. The lead held until the 65th minute, when Ousmane Dembélé leveled from the penalty spot.

No further goals came during regular or extra time, sending the match to a shootout. PSG converted four of their spot-kicks to Arsenal's three, securing the French club's first Champions League title.

The victory also delivered a UEFA prize of 25 million euros to the Parisian side. Arsenal, appearing in their 15th European final, fell just short despite Havertz's early heroics.
