Chat protocols from investigation files from the years 2018 and 2019 document, according to a media report, intensive personal and organizational connections between the head of the Identitäre, Martin Sellner, and several FPÖ officials, including the former office chief of the then Interior Minister Herbert Kickl.

The messages come from a criminal proceeding that had been conducted in 2018 in Graz against Sellner and other leading cadres of the far-right Identitäre Bewegung (IB), as the daily newspaper "Standard" reported on Tuesday. The chat histories and voice messages show that Sellner was "excellently networked" in the domestic political scene and was in close contact with a number of prominent FPÖ politicians.
