French model agent Daniel Siad, who was suspected of having recruited women for convicted U.S. sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead at his home in Colombes near Paris on Monday evening.

The Nanterre prosecutor's office announced today that it has opened an investigation to determine the cause of death. The 69-year-old Siad had previously been the subject of a judicial investigation in Paris on suspicion of human trafficking, according to judicial sources. He had also been reported, among other things, on suspicion of rape.

Discovery in Colombes

According to investigators, his body was discovered on Monday evening at his "pavillon" in Colombes in the Hauts-de-Seine department. The circumstances of the death remain unclear for now.
