The German men's national football team has condemned racism and discrimination online in an Instagram post following its early elimination from the 2026 World Cup, and has assessed the sporting failure against Paraguay.

Update of 02 July 2026: The German men's national football team addressed the public directly via its Instagram account the day after the exit in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup against Paraguay. In the post, published by the official account with its 7.6 million followers, it said: "Rassismus und andere Diskriminierungen akzeptieren wir nicht." Football stands "für Gemeinschaft und Zusammenhalt, nicht für Spaltung". The team was thereby also responding to the massive criticism and insulting comments that players and the team had received on the internet after the defeat.
