Alexander Dobrindt wants to make it significantly more difficult to socialise large housing stocks through a new investment protection law, while the SPD parliamentary group raises constitutional concerns about the course.
According to details of Dobrindt’s plans, higher legal hurdles for the socialisation of housing should apply in future. Dobrindt is thus entering the debate over how to handle large housing stocks in German cities.
The Union parliamentary group in the Bundestag has supported Dobrindt’s proposals. The governing party is therefore backing the political course of regulating or obstructing the socialisation of housing.
