Eight people were injured in a traffic accident involving a coach from Austria on the Dutch A28 motorway near Wezep, according to police.
Course of the accident
According to the Dutch police, the accident occurred on Monday morning on the A28 near Wezep when the bus left the carriageway for reasons that have not yet been clarified. Emergency services deployed to the scene with several ambulances and a helicopter. Eight people were injured, including, according to initial findings, also teenagers. The exact circumstances that led to the accident are the subject of an ongoing investigation.
According to the information, the coach was carrying students from the greater Schönberg area in Salzburg State who were on a multi-day class trip in the Netherlands. According to Dutch media, the bus was traveling from Amsterdam to Zwolle when the vehicle left the road. Initial information indicated that the bus entered the opposite lane area and toppled onto its side.
